Wild Rose Photo Studio
Hi, I'm Andrea!
Owner and main photographer of Wild Rose Photo Studio. I'm so excited you made it to my page! I’m an Austin-based full time wedding and portrait photographer.
Born and Raised Austinite (Woo- I’m a unicorn!) so naturally a lover of nature, flowers, getaways to the beach with my boyfriend, and a breakfast taco connoisseur.
I'm so grateful I get to live my dream job photographing love stories, getting to know couples/families and making them genuinely have a good time while capturing their real smile. My career is truly my passion and so rewarding being able to be there on this special day! When I send you your custom online gallery and you get to relive your magical wedding day, feeling the love all over again, that’s the icing on the cake for me!
I am the photographer that is there with you literally every step of the big day, helping you stay on track with the timeline with a nice easy flow of the day. I want you to be able to enjoy your wedding to the fullest and know that your photographer has your back. This means, I'm making sure the bride (and all her girls) have great hair for the photos, noticing all the details (including straightening the ties on the guys) and making you laugh throughout the day.
How it all started...
I have always been in love with cameras and taking photos ever since I was little. You know, the 90's when we would have to wait to get our disposable camera developed, mail it in with the envelope and wait a week to even see the photos that we took, the good days. I try to incorporate a bright and airy, colorful film look within my photos because there is just this comfort and magic in my style that I personally love. In high school I took painting, drawing, floral design, and photojournalism as a "blow off" class-so I could take photos of my friends and be in the yearbook for our last 2 years of high school. I ended up falling even more in love with photography and all the arts. I attended the Art Institute of Austin from 2009-2013, and graduated with my Bachelors of Fine Arts, majored in photography, with fashion electives. Once graduating I worked for many portrait photo companies in town, learned so much about the "real world of photography" and photographed or second shot over 20+ weddings. After years in the photo industry working for others, I took the leap. I knew I wanted my own business and knew weddings were my jam! Over 8+ years of being a photographer and here I am today!
It's been 2 years since making wedding photography my full time job and I wake up smiling and thankful everyday! To put it simply I love, love. I am truly blessed with such sweet brides and grooms, many welcome me with open arms and make me feel like family by the end of the wedding day, to me that is pure happiness. I really am not like most other wedding photographers.
I am by your side laughing with you, crying with you, and making sure my couple is in the moment on their wedding day, soaking up all the good vibes and love! I even have a photography emergency kit I bring on all my photo shoots, it has everything in it from tide to-go pen, bobby pins, setting spray, tissues, a mini mirror, chocolate ( just in case :)), a portable mini fan (because- TEXAS), band aids, and more! Like I said earlier. I have your back!
One of the most important things for me on your wedding day is while taking portraits of just the bride and groom I make sure y'all take a few minutes to just be with each other, be in the moment, really take it in and enjoy the company of just each other for a bit. This truly is key to get all the feels and real laughs, smiles and happy tears for the portraits and not have any super posed, stiffy photos. I am happy to answer any questions you may have! Give me a ring or email for a complimentary consultation! Thank you again for taking the time to learn about me and my business!
